What is the Post-Production Process?
Post-production is where everything comes together with the end result being a 2 to 5 minute video. It is the final stage of the production process. Shots are selected, graphics are added, audio or narration created or selected, and editing begins. There are a number of procedures involved in this phase. Below you will find links to several printable resources compiled to help you learn about the editing process.
Expect a Learning Curve
There are many computer applications for editing your video. Some of the movies on this site have been edited with Adobe Premiere. A number of consumer video editing tools can be found fairly inexpensively. Ask friends and other colleagues for recommendations. If you do not have previous experience in editing video, there is a learning curve with the use of a video editing application. However, if you have been wanting to learn this new skill, you may find the experience rewarding. If you can involve your technology coordinator in your project, you may find he/she can be very helpful and that a video editing application is available at your school.
