As part of your English Language Arts class, you have read at least 2 Avi books. In this lesson, you are going to learn:
- the difference between a booktalk and a book review,
- what should be included in a booktalk, and
- the variety of formats that booktalks can come in.
In this lesson, you will also receive a worksheet that you will complete before you begin your booktalk. You will also find a rubric that will show you the criteria your fellow students will use when they evaluate your booktalk.
When you have completed this lesson, you will be ready to begin creating your own booktalk in a format of your choice.
