Your Task: As a student you have consistently demonstrated what it takes to be a top-notch researcher and competent user of technology therefore you have been carefully selected by your science teacher to participate in this collaborative technology research project. You will be working with a partner and will be assigned one of the 7 human body systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive,excretory,respiratory, skeletal, and muscular). As a team you will be required to complete the following tasks:

• Gather information to answer 7-8 research questions about your human body system and record on a note-taking sheet.
  
• Use a teacher generated list of 7 science websites, evaluate them and select 2 websites to use as sources.
• Access the library catalog to locate, evaluate and use 1 print source for your project.
  
• Complete 2 separate "Website Evaluation Checklist for Intermediate Students" forms for the two websites you have chosen to use in your research.
• Watch a print evaluation tutorial online and complete a "Non-Fiction Book Evaluation" form for chosen print resource.
  
• Utilize an online citation maker to ensure all resources have been credited and cited accurately. 
• Create a "Glog" an interactive digital poster to share your research findings with teachers, classmates and parents.  

This research project may seem like an enormous task but if broken down into steps it can be accomplished quite easily. Use the Project Requirements Checklist (click on blue link and print out) to keep your group organized and focused. You are now ready to go to Step One:The Research Questions to begin your project.
