Additional notes:
This lesson lends itself to integration with drama and creative writing. For example, after completing the third grade astronomy unit, students can create their own imaginary planet which can be substituted into this lesson. Your own name can be substituted for the leader's name, and students can be encouraged to present their reports as if they are addressing their crew teams from their planet. Students may also want to take part in creating rules for addressing their team mates when presenting their posters, etc.
