C. Educational Leader

 

  • As an elected member of the School Leadership Team (SLT), I participate in monthly meetings with representatives from the administration, teaching staff and PTA.  It is my responsibility to chair these meetings if, and when, the principal is absent.  It is also my responsibility to coordinate the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) submissions.

 

  • As a member of the Executive Board of the UFT for P. S. 160, I designed a staff survey to help our principal make an informed decision regarding the literacy and math curriculum for the following year (2007-2008). 

 

  • I am a firm believer that theory can inform practice.  This exploration of LEADERSHIP was crafted in response to an assignment for a course taught by Dr. Mancall from Drexel University.  It demonstrates a creative approach to an essential component for any successful school-wide program.
